Jim founded Cabot Square in 1996 and co-chairs Cabot’s Investment Committee. Prior to Cabot, Jim spent sixteen years at Lehman Brothers in Tokyo, New York and London. While at Lehman, Jim established the firm’s International Structured and Principal Finance Group. Jim graduated from Yale University (B.A. 1980).

Jay joined Cabot Square in 1997. Jay works on systems development and analysis projects for portfolio companies and is also responsible for the Firm’s IT infrastructure. Prior to Cabot, Jay was a systems analyst for Dow Jones Markets and Euro Brokers Ltd.

Keith joined Cabot in 1998 and is a partner. Keith has led a number of the firm’s investments in property and infrastructure businesses. Keith currently works with Net Zero Buildings (UK offsite building manufacture and leasing), Public Sector Plc (UK local government property), and Premier Modular (UK offsite building manufacture and hire). Past investments include MedicX (UK GP Surgeries), Signature Senior Lifestyle (UK elderly care), Equitix (UK infrastructure investment and asset management), Storage King (UK self storage) and Tribe Apartments (UK PRS housing). Prior to Cabot, Keith spent fourteen years at BP Plc including UK and international roles in real estate, operations, finance and M&A. Keith is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and graduated with joint honours from Edinburgh University (1984).

Richard joined Cabot Square in 2006 and is a partner. Richard currently works with Propel (UK SME finance), Simply Asset Finance (UK SME finance) and MSP Capital (UK bridging & development finance). Past investments include Asset Alliance (UK asset finance), LDF (UK SME finance), Storage King (UK self storage), Centric Commercial Finance (UK SME finance) and 5D / Interbay (UK small ticket property finance). Prior to Cabot, Richard spent four years with the strategy consulting firm Burlington Consultants, and one year with Deloitte & Touche following its acquisition of Burlington in 2005. Richard graduated from Oxford University (M.A. (Oxon) 2001) and is IMC (Investment Management Certificate) qualified.

Hugh joined Cabot Square in 2006. Hugh currently works with Propel (UK SME finance), MKC Wealth (UK wealth management) and Autograph Care Group (UK elderly care). Past investments include Asset Alliance (UK asset finance), JBR Capital (UK high end luxury car finance), Key Retirement Solutions (UK equity release mortgages), MedicX (UK GP surgeries), Medicx Pharmacy (UK pharmacies), Signature Senior Lifestyle (UK elderly care), and Equitix (UK infrastructure investment and asset management). Prior to Cabot, Hugh spent six years with the actuarial consultants Lane, Clark & Peacock. Hugh graduated from Cambridge University (M.A. 1999) and is a Qualified Actuary.

James joined Cabot Square in 2016 and is a partner. James currently works with Premier Modular (UK offsite building manufacture and hire), Net Zero Buildings (UK offsite building manufacture and leasing) and MSP Capital (UK bridging & development finance). Previous investments include SPF Private Clients (UK mortgages, wealth management and insurance) and Lendco (UK buy-to-let and bridging loans). Prior to Cabot, James spent four years at strategy consulting firm McKinsey & Company. James graduated from Imperial College, London (MSc. 2009) and University College, London (BSc. 2008), during which he spent time as a guest research scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, University of California, Berkeley (2008).

Tarun joined Cabot Square in 2008 and is a partner. Tarun currently works with SPF Private Clients (UK mortgages, wealth management and insurance) and Blue Motor Finance (UK auto loans). Tarun also leads Cabot’s involvement with CS Capital Partners Real Estate Fund (DNGB), the firm’s Dutch ground lease fund. Past investments include 321 Credito (Portuguese consumer finance), JBR Capital (UK high end luxury car finance), Centric Commercial Finance (UK SME finance) and 5D / Interbay (UK small ticket property finance). Prior to Cabot, Tarun worked for seven years in the securitisation and principal finance group of HSBC Bank and for the Tactical Opportunities Fund at The Blackstone Group. Tarun graduated from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (MBA 2001).

John founded Cabot Square in 1996 and co-chairs Cabot’s Investment Committee. Prior to Cabot, John was employed by Goldman Sachs, where he spent nine years in New York and London. While at Goldman, John established the firm’s European Principal and Structured Finance Groups. John graduated from Yale University (B.A. 1979) and the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D. 1982).

Stephanie joined Cabot Square in 2014 and is Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Cabot, Stephanie was employed as Portfolio Manager at Montagu Private Equity. Stephanie graduated from University of Leeds (B.A. 2006), is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and ACA qualified.

Lucy joined Cabot Square in 2022. Lucy works across Cabot Square’s portfolio companies, managing all legal aspects of exits and acquisitions, working on fund raising and fund structuring, and ensuring compliance with applicable law and regulation. Prior to joining Cabot Square, Lucy spent 9 years working at Herbert Smith Freehills LLP, in its London, Singapore and Sydney offices. Lucy is dual qualified, admitted as a lawyer in England & Wales, and holds a law degree from the University of Sydney.
